I absolutely love the attention to detail with regards to the figure and his clothing. The fine lines and folds appear to seamlessly transition between peaks and crevices, in the future I would like to be able to create the sort of realism that you have created here. Anatomically speaking the proportions of the figure are also dead on, I actually found myself puzzled and consequently impressed when I saw that this was all paint and indeed not a photograph or other type of digital mixture with traditional paint.

Equally I must say I am captivated by your use of negative space around the figure, your cool colour palette is such a nice backdrop to such vibrant tones laid upon it. The hues you pulled into the blue portion compliment each other in such a way that it is easy to see that you have a masters grasp of the colour wheel. It would be false to say I am not a bit envious of the smooth, thin washes that you were able to achieve with oil and acrylic. Again I thought, "that must be watercolour," and was again blown away.

I find myself wondering what the figure is considering, feeling disjointed by the upside down and floating pair of shoes, wishing I could sit upon this strange blue ocean and behold what wonders lay below. Well done.
